Heather - New legislation will let schools pay for incentives that support goals.  Cap of $2/child. Community councils should have data driven discussions. Funding amounts for Weber School district are around $107/child which amounts to around $82,419.32 for PCE.  No student names should be used on data reporting.

New Trustland videos need to be viewed at www.schoollandtrust.org.

Heather passed out report on 2017-2018 fund expenditures.  All categories look good.

Budget for current year reviewed.  Two aides in Reading room really busy.  Child Study Teams are continuing to meet monthly.  Need to look at interventions for grades 4-6 next year, possibly with Americore aid which will be paid half from funds, half by them.  We are sending teachers to PLC conferences. Reading Specialist spending budget on supplies.  Heather applied for Technology grant and got accepted for a match of $5000. Printing budget being used for math copies.  General supplies category hopefully to be used for math manipulatives and dry erase markers for whiteboards.

Heather suggested changing Reading goal to growth goal rather than benchmark for next year’s plan. Rebecca explained the reason why we changed it to benchmark was because we were concerned we would get to a point where we couldn’t sustain an increasing growth rate.  Math goal to stay about the same.

Heather sent out an email requesting Community Council applicants for an election but received no response.  Melissa Dunn was asked to join the council to increase our parent/employee ratio and accepted.

Open House for boundary changes for new elementary will be held on October 24th at 6:30 pm at Wahlquist Jr High.

Meeting adjourned at 11:50 am.
