Minutes for Community Council Meeting

November 7, 2024 @ 9:00 A.M. in the conference room

Attendance:

Minutes:

  1. We introduced new people that were here.
  2. Renominate webmaster- Sharon Mumford is the new approved Webmaster.
  3. Overview of the implementation of the School Land Trust Plan. Discussed the plan and the expenditures. Discussed ELA goals for grades K-3, and 4-6 and how these are supported with the School Land Trust Plan. 
  4. Overview of the implementation of the TSSA Plan. Discussed the goals and slight expenditure differences.
  5. Overview of the Positive Behavior Plan- went over how the plan will help with risk factors and preventative measures.  (PBIS was explained, how it will be implemented in the school and the goals.) Went over the SHARP survey results. Discussed possibility of future parenting nights. (4 parent nights throughout the school year, possibly community council presenting, form this around PAWS) Also discussed the possibility of bringing in a presenter (Kaitlyn Youngberg) for the students to help them in the transitional planning (HOSA).

ACTION ITEMS:

  1. Motion was given for Sharon Mumford to be the Webmaster.
  2. Look for resources to bring in for parenting nights. (Tentative night in January/February), get feedback from parents through Google form.
  3. Talk with Teah about a presenter coming to the 6th grade.
