Welcome by Committee Chair Rebecca Cannon.
Previous meeting minutes read by Angie Fisher. Mrs. Neilson approved them and Melissa seconded them.
2018-2019 Trustland plan and budget review by Mrs. Neilson. We need around $62,000 for aide salaries for the remainder of the year and $5000 for lease on Chromebooks. We are over budget on repairs and maintenance so any more withdrawals will have to come out of different categories. Might need to adjust this category for next year. The $7000 is for next year’s PLC’s conferences. Still planning on around $7000 carryover.
2019-2020 tentative Trustland budget and plan reviewed by Mrs. Neilson. Reading goal will be 60% of 1-3 grades will achieve typical or above typical growth according to pathways of progress on year end DIBELS. Math goal will be for grades 3-6 achieving average RISE score that is TBD points above district average.
Both action steps include collaboration time for teachers, lease for classroom Chromebooks, and substitutes for the library. Reading also includes services for reading paraprofessionals to identify reading levels and provide small group intervention.
Projected enrollment of Plain City for 2019-2020 will be around 200 students less than this year due to boundary changes. Approximately 150 students will move to new elementary in Farr West and 25 to West Weber Elementary.
Next meeting will be March 11, 2019 @ 10:45 a.m.
Meeting adjourned at 11:40 a.m.
