2022-23 Draft Plan Review:

  • Action Item:  We need to make an addendum to the math data measurement from points to percentage points. We are unable to get the data using points so we need to make the change so we can determine if we were able to meet our goal. --Vote: All in favor (4 votes yes).
  • We receive funding through the district for a PE and library aide.  To keep a two hour PLC rotation, we need to provide funding for two computer paraprofessionals.  One will teach keyboarding and the other will teach coding.  We will also provide substitutes if the library paraprofessional needs sick or vacation day (~$74/day), we will work in 15 days for that.
  • Child Study team (student success team) a meeting to coordinate additional support for children with behavior and/or academic issues. We focus on what we can do school-wide to better help that student.
  • We will put in place funding for new teachers who need to observe other teachers and time for collaboration (work with teams within the school day).
  • Funding classroom Chromebook labs.
  • Math goal (We will move forward with a percentage goal for next year). What would be a good goal for next year? We will base our goal on WSD data so we are able to have the data readily available to us.   Add 25% higher than WSD, which would make the goal 61%.
  • All ESSER funding will be directed towards ELA.
  • Heather will send the plan out when she gets the final funding numbers.
  • Action Item:  Vote on the new plan: All in favor (4 votes yes)

The new plan is due by March 2022

School Safety Plan:

The lockdown drill was moved to Monday. There was a lot of success with the drill. An area of improvement suggested by the sheriff is to make sure empty classroom doors are locked.  If one door was unlocked, there would be access to the other classroom (through the mudroom area). Another suggestion was to shut the Chromebooks to give the illusion that the classroom has been empty for a period of time.

Budget Review:

Chromebooks will be taken out of the Trustland budget. This will be taken care of at the district level.

School Business:

  • Maturation will be held in the spring. This is a WSD program. The date is yet to be determined.
  • Valentine's parties will be held as usual with parent volunteers. The 6th graders will have an etiquette dinner and a game show.
  • We are waiting to see about 6th-grade graduation.

Miscellaneous:

  • Praise for the Harvest Festival
  • Parents requesting a specific teacher for their child will be notified in March that request letters are due back on April 1, 2022.

Future Schedule:

Nanette will report on MOY Acadience data.
