Minutes read by Angie Fisher. Mr. Karlinsey motioned to approve minutes and Monica seconded it. Passed unanimously.
Plan Review by Mr. Karlinsey. Still large amounts in Salary and Admission categories. Funds will start to decrease as aides are paid through the summer. Also starting to create a list of teachers to send to a PLC conference October 10, 2018.
Technology and General Supplies categories are also high. Technology is due to funds going through school first and then coming out of trust land funds. We do need to look at our spending to make sure we meet our 10% carryover requirement. Approximately $55,000 left for the current school year.
Budget Review by Mr. Karlinsey. We should have approximately $80,000 for the 2018-2019 school year. This will probably be the last big increase. Funds should plateau for following years.
2018-2019 Trust land plan needs to be completed in March. We will change the wording for meeting goals from the previous plan. For Language Arts, we will continue to use DIBELS testing. Our proposed goal will be to have the number of children in intensive category decreasing throughout the school year. For Math, we will use the SAGE test. Our proposed goal will be to be 20% above the Weber School District average.
For allocation of funds, we will increase aide time in Reading to $44,000. We will increase printing in Math or Reading to around $6,000 due to increased printing costs. Repairs and General Supplies categories should stay about the same.
School Business by Mr. Karlinsey. Playground on the north side of school for older grades should be complete within a couple weeks.
