Plan Review by Quinn. Our Reading goal was changed slightly to: Plain City students in grades K-3 will achieve an average score that is 7% higher in the number of students reaching the reading benchmark from the beginning of the 2018-19 school year to end of the 2018-19 school year. We will use the DIBELS results. For Mathematics: Plain City students in grades 3-6 will achieve an average SAGE math score that is 17 points higher than the district average for the 2018-19 school year.
Budge Review by Quinn. Our current budget is approximately $23,000. Our maximum carryover is around $7000. We will need around $12000 for salaries. He is also planning on using $6500 to send leadership team to a PLC conference to be held in September or October in Salt Lake City. After those two expenses, we should be around $4000-$5000.
School Business by Quinn. A boundary study has been started for the new school in Farr West by Remuda subdivision.
Rebecca talked about some miscellaneous changes in the Legislature to the Trust Land policies. There is a recommendation to broaden the language in the plan so schools can include behavioral issues. Also a recommendation to include grandparents on the trust land committee.
Meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
