Minutes for Community Council Meeting

October 3, 2023 @ 1:45 P.M. in the conference room

Attendance: Sher Elliott (Principal), Kaylene Wiser (faculty), Shauna Allen (chair), Kelly Shulz (member)

1. Reviewed and approved minutes from previous meeting
2. Review orientation for new members
3. Reviewed the LAND Trust goals for the 2023-2024 school year and allocation of the LAND Trust funds (action plan steps and expenditures)
4. Expenditures: funding paraprofessionals for reading, PLC aides, mental health specialist, Chromebooks, and teacher professional development, substitute teachers, instructional and student supplies, positive reinforcement prizes, summer collaboration, and additional staffing.
5. Goal 1: Reading
6. Goal 2: Math
7. Goal 3: Art Education
8. Member information gathered
9. Set meeting schedule for the year
10. Looked at items on the next Community Council meeting and timeline
11. Reviewed the 2022-2023 data

ACTION ITEMS:

1. Sher was delegated the role of working with webmaster
2. Motion given for Shauna Allen to be the chair
3. Motion given for Katte Watson to be the co-chair
4. Council members voted in Kelly Shulz and Kaylene Wiser
