Sher Elliott

Principal

shelliott@wsd.net

Hi! My name is Sher Elliott and I am the principal! I love this school, and all the people in it. I attended Plain City Elementary when I was young, and so did my own children. I taught 5th and 6th grades for 9 years (3 years at Plain City), I was a school counselor for 9 years (7 years at Plain City), and this is my 3rd year as the principal of Plain City. I love this school and all the people in it!

Some interesting facts about me include: 1) I have lived in Plain City for most of my life and my great, great, great grandma and grandpa were some of the first settlers of Plain City. They were the original owners of the little old cabin in the middle of town. 2) I love to run - especially on mountain trails. 3) I love to be with my family. My family includes my husband, a son and daughter-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law, another son, a darling granddaughter and another adorable granddaughter on the way! 4) I love education in any form because it creates valuable opportunities for people. 5) I love children and always have - they are pure happiness and joy to me and I feel so privileged to work with them every day!

Becci Kohler

Administrative assistant

My name is Becci Kohler, and I am the Administrative Assistant at Plain City Elementary, where I have proudly worked for fifteen years, seven of which have been in my current role. I thoroughly enjoy my work in the office, especially interacting with the many smiling faces I see each day. Plain City Elementary is an exceptional school, boasting some of the finest staff and students.

My husband and I have been residents of Plain City since 1995, where we have raised our family and embraced this wonderful community. Originally, I hail from Monteview, Idaho, a very small town forty-five miles southwest of Rexburg. I am blessed with five children, a daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and my fur baby Molly. In my free time, I enjoy camping, cooking, decorating, and cherishing moments with my family. My favorite beverages are diet Pepsi and fruit-flavored water, and I have a particular fondness for Mrs. Cavanaugh's chocolate-covered cinnamon bears.

Mrs. James loves spending time with her family.

Erin Clark

Mental health therapist

erclark@wsd.net

Hello! I'm the Mental Health Therapist at Plain City.  This is my 3rd year at Plain City and I love the students and the community here.  I've been working in schools for the last 18 years in the capacity of a school social worker, behavior specialist and therapist.  I graduated from the University of Utah with my Masters Degree in 2007.

In my free time my family enjoys the outdoors, camping, hunting, traveling and exploring our beautiful state.  The last two years I visited several countries in Europe and plan on continuing to add to my list of countries visited.  I also love to read and workout and I'm currently working on my goal of running a 12 minute mile (funny story, I hate running and so do my knees!)

My husband and I have been married for 20 plus years and have 6 kiddo's!  Our two adult daughters are in their 20's,  oldest son is 15 and we have triplet boys that will be 13 next month.  It's never very quiet at our house with all that boy energy but we have a lot of fun adventures.

Hello! I am MaryAnn Duncan, the librarian! I have lived in Plain City for 9 years, the longest I have ever lived anywhere. I love this town and Plain City Elementary.

I graduated from BYU and taught 1st and 2nd grades. I took time off to raise my family and when we moved to Plain City, I decided I missed teaching and wanted to return to teaching.

I love making  memories with my family and traveling. You will always catch me reading every night before I go to bed! I’m a sucker for a good book!

Mrs. Wiser loves the outdoors.
