From cheesy slices to lots of laughter, Westside Pizza hosted 30 incredibly excited kids who definitely earned this tasty reward. A HUGE thank-you to everyone who donated and supported our school, and an extra shoutout to Westside Pizza for making the day unforgettable! 🙌

🎉💻 BIG things are happening in the Plain City Elementary Computer Lab! 💻🎉

In just 7 short weeks, our Kindergarten–6th grade students have already jumped into an amazing world of technology, problem-solving, and creativity! Check out what we’ve been up to ⬇️

🚀 Building Strong Tech Foundations
Our students are exploring:
🔹 Algorithms & Sequences – breaking tasks into smart, logical steps
🔹 Loops & Patterns – learning how repetition makes coding powerful
🔹 Debugging – practicing perseverance by finding and fixing mistakes
🔹 Digital Citizenship – staying safe, smart, and respectful online
🔹 Device Care – learning to treat our tech with kindness
🔹 Robotics & Physical Computing – bringing code to life with REAL robots!

🎃 October: Coding Meets Halloween!
We embraced the spooky season to code our way through some wickedly fun projects:
🤖 Trick-or-treating robots navigating programmed paths
🕸️ Haunted HTML webpages
✨ Micro:bit “magic” with messages & sound effects
🌲 Scratch Haunted Forest animations

🌾 November: Digital Citizenship Safety
We learned how to protect our private information through the Scarecrow & the Crows activity—because keeping our “important crops” safe online is no joke!

🦃 This Week: “Are You Smarter Than a Kindergartner?”
All grades took on the challenge of coding the Kindergarten BOT using There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey.
Let’s just say… the Kinders are holding their lead! 😉👏

Plain City Panthers are coding, creating, learning, and LOVING every minute of it! 💙💛
Stay tuned—there’s so much more tech fun ahead!

🍦 What a sweet way to wrap up our Fun Run fundraiser! 🎉 Thanks to our amazing students, families, and community, this year’s Fun Run was a huge success!

To celebrate, Mrs. Elliott was turned into a giant ice cream sundae — complete with chocolate, caramel, and sprinkles! 🍫🍒 She had a blast “bathing” in toppings, enjoying a little ice cream, and even spitting a few marshmallows into the cheering crowd! 😆

This was truly the cherry on top of an incredible Fun Run experience! Thank you to everyone who supported our school — we couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️🏃‍♀️ #FunRun #SweetSuccess #PlainCityPanthers
