The Panther Cafe is getting ready for one of our most beloved traditions! Plain City Elementary is thrilled to announce the return of Lunch With Someone Grand, our annual event where students from Kindergarten through 6th grade get to host a special "GRAND" guest for a mid-day meal.
Whether it’s a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or another favorite loved one, we can’t wait to see our hallways filled with the smiling faces of our extended Panther family.
🗓️ Mark Your Calendars!
To make sure everyone has a seat at the table, we’ve assigned specific days for each grade level:
Monday, April 13: 3rd Grade (11:45–12:15) and 5th Grade (12:30–1:00).
Tuesday, April 14: 1st Grade (11:15–11:45), Kindergarten (12:00–12:30), and 6th Grade (12:45–1:15).
Thursday, April 16: 2nd Grade (11:30–12:00) and 4th Grade (12:15–12:45).
🍗 What’s on the Menu?
Our kitchen staff is prepping some fan favorites for our guests:
Monday: Savory Chicken Drumsticks.
Tuesday: The ever-popular Walking Tacos.
Thursday: Classic Chicken Sandwiches.
Adult meals are $4.75 and non-PCE child meals are $2.25. If you plan to eat a school lunch, please remember that you must prepay and make a reservation in advance. You can pay easily online at weber.powerschool.com or stop by the front office.
📝 Important Details for Guests
RSVP: Please return the reservation form sent home by your student's teacher to the school by April 7, 2026. Even if you are bringing your own lunch, we need your form to ensure we have enough seating for everyone!
Check-In: Pick up your lunch tickets at the check-in desk on the day you attend—you'll need these to head through the line.
Parking & Safety: Please use the south parking lot. To keep our Panthers safe, visitors are not permitted on the playgrounds or in other parts of the building during the event.
Checking Out: Planning an early dismissal? If you are checking your student out after lunch, please bring your photo ID and ensure you are listed on the Emergency Contact List.
