The hallways of Plain City Elementary were buzzing with a little extra magic this week. We hosted our annual "Lunch with Someone Grand" event, and to say it was a success would be an understatement! The school was filled with laughter, stories, and the pride of being a Panther.
A Community Powered Event
This wasn't just a small gathering; it was a massive celebration. Over the course of three days, we welcomed well over 500 guests into our cafeteria! Whether they were grandparents, family friends, or mentors, each visitor brought a sense of joy that resonated through the entire building.
An event of this scale takes a village to pull off. We want to give a massive shout-out to the over 20 dedicated staff members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. From our incredible lunch staff who prepared extra meals, to our administration and volunteers greeting guests at the door, and our janitorial crew who kept the cafeteria sparkling between waves—this event was a true testament to the teamwork that defines Plain City Elementary.
Celebrating Our Connections
There is something truly special about seeing a student’s face light up when they spot their "someone grand" walking through those cafeteria doors. These moments remind us that education is about more than just books; it's about the community and the people who support our students every step of the way.
