PLAIN CITY, UT — Excitement is building at Plain City Elementary as our Panthers get ready to pounce into another incredible school year! As our faculty and staff put the finishing touches on classrooms, our local construction crews have been working tirelessly right outside our doors along 3600 West.
Safety is always our highest priority at Plain City Elementary. We are so grateful to the crews for prioritizing the section of road directly in front of our campus to ensure a safe, accessible return for all our students—from our littlest preschool learners to our swift sixth graders!
To keep drop-offs, pick-ups, and daily commutes running smoothly, here is everything our Panther families need to know before the first bell rings.
🚗 Driving & Bus Arrival Routes
By the time school starts, 3600 West will be freshly paved from 2600 N. to 2200 N.
Because crews will still be actively working on the stretch between 2200 N. and 1975 N., all vehicles and buses must enter the school coming from 2600 N. or 2350 N.
🐾 Walkers & Pedestrians
Sidewalk Access: Fresh sidewalks from 2600 N. to 2200 N. will be fully completed and ready to give our walking Panthers a clear path all the way to school!
Safe Routes from the South: If your student lives on or south of 1975 N., please have them walk to 3700 W., then head up 2200 N. to reach the school.
Crossing Guards: Remind your kiddos to always cross with our wonderful crossing guards!
Pedestrian Map Coming Soon: We are currently finalizing a detailed pedestrian map and will share it with families within the next week.
🚨 Mark Your Calendars: Campus Closure on August 14th
Crews are scheduled to lay asphalt on August 14th and 15th.
Important Notice: Plain City Elementary will be completely closed on Friday, August 14th. Because 3600 West will be closed to all traffic, please plan to avoid school grounds and property entirely on this day.
