We received an update from our construction team regarding the paving schedule on 3600 West. Due to weather adjustments, the paving timeline has changed:
🗓️ New Paving Dates: Friday, August 14th & Monday, August 17th
🛑 Campus Status: School property will be CLOSED on both Friday (8/14) and Monday (8/17).
🎉 Reopening: We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18th.

🚗 **Driving & Bus Arrival:** 3600 W. will be freshly paved from 2600 N. to 2200 N. All vehicles & buses must enter coming from **2600 N. or 2350 N.**
👟 **Walkers & Pedestrians:** Sidewalks will be ready from 2600 N. to 2200 N. If coming from south of 1975 N., please walk up **3700 W. to 2200 N.** and cross with our crossing guards! 🚦 Keep an eye out for our full pedestrian map coming next week!
🚨 **CAMPUS CLOSURE – AUG 14:** Plain City Elementary will be **completely closed on Friday, August 14th** while asphalt is laid. Please plan to stay off school property on this day!

Our Panther Jump Rope Club absolutely crushed their end-of-year showcase! From the morning assembly to the parent performance, these students showed us what hard work and rhythm look like.

What a way to kick off summer! 🐾⚾
Our annual 6th Grade vs. Teachers kickball game was one for the books! The teachers may have secured the 21-3 win (thanks to some epic home runs by Josh, Mrs. Foy, and Mrs. Wiser!), but our 6th graders showed incredible heart and hustle until the very last out. From the Panther mascot getting on base to our favorite janitor, Josh, making a snag in the outfield, the energy was unmatched.
As the high-fives faded and the school year officially came to a close, there were plenty of smiles (and some very sore teachers!). We are so proud of our students and want to wish everyone a safe, fun, and relaxing summer break. Congratulations to our promoting 6th graders you'll always be Panthers! This week, one of our incredible specialists turned an ordinary classroom into the high seas by building a literal homemade pirate ship for our students! ⚓️🦜
Our Panthers got to step away from their desks and climb aboard for a fully immersive learning experience. From practicing team building and vocabulary to mastering new skills through creative challenges, our students were completely captivated by the voyage.
We are so grateful for a staff that goes above and beyond to make learning an unforgettable adventure.

Our incredible Plain City Panthers officially competed in the 34th Annual STEM Olympiad at West Field High School! From fast-paced math strategy games to coding and engineering challenges, our students showed the district exactly what Panther Pride is all about! We are so proud of all the hard work and dedication our Panthers put into practicing all year long. Thank you to all the parents, guardians, and amazing volunteers who came out to cheer us on and supported our teams!

It’s with a mix of heavy hearts and excited cheers that we announce some big transitions for our Plain City Elementary family next year. While we are sad to see these amazing leaders and educators go, we are so grateful for the paw-print they’ve left on our school! 💙🖤🤍

After years of sparking a love for learning in our 1st Grade classrooms, Shauna Smith is officially hanging up her teaching whistle and entering retirement! Thank you, Mrs. Smith, for being the foundation of so many students' success. Your kindness and patience have shaped our youngest Panthers in ways we can’t measure.

Our fearless leader and Principal, Sherilynn Elliott, will be moving to Orchard Springs next year. Mrs. Elliott has led our school with such heart, vision, and Panther Pride. We know Orchard Springs is lucky to have her, but she will be missed immensely here in Plain City!

Our former Panthers walked the halls in their caps and gowns to the sound of the graduation song, thanking the educators who helped them get here and showing our current students what hard work can achieve.
