Our district superintendents stopped by to read to our whole school, inspiring us to keep diving into great books. We also visited classrooms to hand out summer reading and math certificates to all the students who kept their brains active all summer long. We are so proud of your dedication and drive to learn, Panthers!

Mrs. Davis has been bringing heart, dedication, and positivity to PCES for the past 5 years. Born and raised nearby in Farr West, her love for kids and passion for helping them grow led her right to our school. Working with our Special Education team, Mrs. Davis loves teaching social skills and helping our Panthers navigate their day with confidence. Her true Panther Superpowers? Patience and listening. She makes sure every student knows they are supported, and if there is one thing she hopes each student learns, it’s that they matter and are loved.

🐾 Flag Duty with a Special Touch of Honor!
Our Plain City Panther 6th graders hold the special responsibility of raising and lowering our school's flag each day. We were privileged to welcome incredible local veterans to PCE! They spent time teaching our 6th graders the correct way to fold, handle, and respect the American flag.
A huge THANK YOU to these brave military members for their service to our country and for taking the time to mentor our students. We are so proud of our Panthers for stepping up to carry on this tradition with pride! 💙🤍🖤

This week, our art specialist, Mrs. Hibbert, taught our 2nd graders how to bring the season to life by designing unique fall pumpkins using five different art mediums.
Our young artists experimented with combining various tools and textures, learning how different materials can transform a simple autumn idea into a vibrant masterpiece. It is always exciting to see how much technique and personality our students bring to their artwork!

Our 1st graders have been diving into the world of art and learning all about mosaics—how tiny pieces come together to make one big, beautiful picture. To put their new skills to the test, they pieced together these incredible apple mosaics just in time for fall! ✂️🎨

To pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives and show our unity, our students dressed in red, white, and blue. On this 25th anniversary of 9/11, our Plain City Elementary community remembers the bravery and strength of our nation. We are so proud of our young Panthers for showing such respect, empathy, and reverence as they reflected on this pivotal moment in history. ❤️🤍💙

Our incredible 4th graders spent today in the art room making their very own "birthday rocks"! They dove deep into learning how people throughout history have used rocks to communicate, tell stories, and create art—and why this ancient form of expression still connects us today.
